Learn to tie your own fishing flies with Nov. 23 course

Have you ever thought about catching fish on tackle you made yourself? Or do you enjoy the sport of fly-fishing, but get tired of paying for the flies you use? Perhaps the Nevada Department of Wildlife has the answer to both questions. On Nov. 23, NDOW will host a free fly-tying class at its Las Vegas office, 4747 Vegas Drive. Class will begin at 6 p.m.

This hands-on introduction to fly-tying will provide students with a basic understanding of the tying process and the opportunity to talk fly-tying and fly-fishing with the wildlife agency's resident experts on the subjects. Call Ivy Santee to register or for more information. She can be reached at 486-5127, Ext. 3503. Space is limited.
