INTRODUCTORY CLASS

Free course in Boulder City
to teach bowfishing basics

The Nevada Department of Wildlife will host an introductory bowfishing course at 9 a.m. July 16 at the Veterans Memorial Park pond in Boulder City. This free class is for anyone age 10 or older who has minimal to intermediate experience with archery equipment.

The course will cover equipment and its function, basic technique, field safety and understanding water refraction. After a 40-minute instruction period, attendees will shoot at submerged targets.

The class will end at noon, and all necessary equipment is provided.
