R-JENERATION: Add some sparkle to those beat-up pumps

Want shoes that would make even Cinderella jealous but don't want to pay the price? Here's how to do it yourself.

The materials are simple:

1. An old pair of heels that need a face-lift

2. Mod Podge Glitter ($6.99/8 ounces)

3. Mod Podge Matte ($3.49/4 ounces)

4. Powder sparkles, any color ($3.49/0.67 ounces)

Project time: Two hours

Step 1: Use the Mod Podge Glitter to create a base, applying an even and light layer along the platform and heel of the shoe.

Step 2: Once that has dried a bit, add a layer of Mod Podge Matte. While the Modge Podge Matte is still wet, sprinkle a layer of the sparkles onto the area.

Helpful hint: Do this over a plastic bag for easy cleanup.

Step 3: Repeat steps 1 and 2. Let dry.

Step 4: Do this same process to the body of the shoe. Make sure to use even layers.

Helpful hint: Do one side of the shoe at a time. This will make it easier to hold while working.

Pair these with jeans for a sassy girls-night-out look or with a dress for a breathtaking date look.
