EVENTS

The 12th annual Jewish Film Festival will present "It Is No Dream: The Life of Theodor Herzl" at 7 p.m. today and "Hava Nagila (The Movie)" at 1 p.m. Sunday at The Adelson Educational Campus, 9700 Hillpointe Road. "Suskind" will be presented at 7 p.m. Thursday at South Point, 9777 Las Vegas Blvd. South. The festival will continue on select dates through Jan. 27. Individual tickets are $10 per film (lvjff.org).

"My Big Fat Jewish Wedding," an interactive dinner event to benefit Congregation P'nai Tikvah, will be presented at 5 p.m. Sunday at The Adelson Educational Campus, 9700 Hillpointe Road. Tickets start at $60. For reservations, visit pnaitikvahlv.org or call 702-436-4900.

Good Samaritan Lutheran Church, 8425 W. Windmill Lane, will offer a pet blessing at 2 p.m. Feb. 2. Participants may bring their pets, including stuffed animals, for a special ceremony and individual blessing (702-873-3589).

Lamb of God Lutheran School, 6220 N. Jones Blvd., will host a school supply drive in conjunction with its annual school and pre-school open house from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 26. The school supply drive will benefit the children at Fyfe Elementary School (702-645-1626).

Lamb of God Lutheran Church, 6220 N. Jones Blvd., will host the community health fair "Healthy Choices and U" from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Feb. 2. The event is free and open to the public, and will feature local northwest health-related businesses and free activities, including a free neck massage, eye and foot neuropathy screenings and smoothie samples (702-645-4998).

MEETINGS

The St. Margaret of Cortona Secular Franciscans Fraternity of Las Vegas meets at 12:30 p.m. the fourth Sunday of the month at Pace E Bene offices, 1420 W. Bartlett Ave. (702-453-2417).

CLASSES

Good Samaritan Lutheran Church, 8425 W. Windmill Lane, will host Dave Ramsey's "Financial Peace" Seminar, a nine-week class, at 6 p.m. Thursdays in the New Hope Christian Academy building on the church campus. The class begins Thursday. The fee is $95 per family. To register, call 623-521-1515.

The Las Vegas Lay Dominicans will have an inquirer/candidate meeting at 9:30 a.m. Jan. 26. All members will meet for Divine Office at 10:30 a.m. and the professed member meeting is at 11 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Newman Community, 4765 Brussels St.

The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Las Vegas, 3616 E. Lake Mead Blvd., will offer a free class on the principles and history of its liberal religious tradition from noon to 2 p.m. Jan. 27 (702-878-0443).

SINGLES GROUPS

The Jewish Community Center of Southern Nevada, Temple Sinai and Congregation Ner Tamid offer a variety of programs for Jewish singles of all ages in Las Vegas and Henderson.
