MUSIC

First Christian Church, 101 S. Rancho Drive, will present a "Gospel-Praise-Spiritual Concert" at 4 p.m. Sunday. A freewill offering will be accepted, and child care will be provided (384-1544).

The Jewish Federation of Las Vegas Super Sunday Phone-A-Thon will be 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Sunday at Adelson Educational Campus, 9700 Hillpointe Road. The event will raise funds to support social, religious, educational and cultural programs supported by the Jewish Federation (732-0556).

The National Day of Prayer will feature an opening ceremony at noon May 7 with the All Service Color Guard, first lady Dawn Gibbons and community leaders at the Grant Sawyer Building, 555 E. Washington Ave. At 6 p.m., Mayor Oscar Goodman will give a reading of the Proclamation of the National Day of Prayer for the city of Las Vegas at City Hall Plaza, 400 Stewart Ave. (www.national dayofprayer.org).

MEETINGS

The Secular Franciscans of St. Margaret of Cortona fraternity meets at 12:30 p.m. the fourth Sunday of the month at Pace E Bene offices, 1420 W. Bartlett Ave. (453-2417).

Singles groups

The Jewish Community Center of Southern Nevada, Temple Sinai and Congregation Ner Tamid offer a variety of programs for Jewish singles of all ages in Las Vegas and Henderson. St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church sponsors singles groups for professionals 25 to 45 years old and a singles group for people 45 and older (228-8311, ext. 7333 or 7334).

Single Adults Learning Together, or SALT Ministries of CornerStone Christian Fellowship, meets at 6 p.m. Saturdays at 5825 W. Eldora Ave. (871-5050).
