MUSIC

Green Valley Presbyterian Church, 1798 Wigwam Parkway, Henderson, will present “Friends of Phantom: A Program of Broadway Music” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. The benefit concert for Family Promise will feature performances by Haleyann Hart and performers from the former “Phantom — The Las Vegas Spectacular.” A goodwill offering will be taken (454-8484).

EVENTS

Calvary Community Assembly of God, 2900 N. Torrey Pines Drive, is offering the Summer Food Service Program Monday through Friday through Aug. 23. The free lunch service is available from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. No registration is required. Ages 2 to 18 are eligible to participate regardless of race, color, national origin, sex or disability.

United Methodist Social Ministries is participating in the Summer Food Service Program. Through Aug. 23, free meals are served from noon to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding July 4-5, at Griffith United Methodist Church, 1701 E. Oakey Blvd. Ages 2 to 18 are eligible to participate regardless of race, color, national origin, sex or disability.

Henderson Church of the Nazarene will present its monthly community gathering “Ignite” from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at O’Callaghan Park, 601 Skyline Road, Henderson. The event will include a meal, music, games and a biblical discussion (739-4556).

Jehovah’s Witnesses will present its annual “God’s Word Is Truth!” District Convention Friday through July 7 at Burns Arena at Dixie State University in St. George, Utah. MEETINGS

The Sathya Sai Baba Devotional Singing Group meets at 5 p.m. Sundays at 1128 Triumph Court (461-8655).

Hindu Temple & Jain Center of Las Vegas, 1701 Sageberry Drive, offers Balaji Abhishekam services at 10:45 a.m. the first Saturday of the month in the temple, and Aarti Pooja services at noon Sundays (304-9207).

CLASSES

Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, 6670 W. Cheyenne Ave., will offer its vacation Bible School from 6 to 8:30 p.m. July 8-12. The program is open to children entering pre-kindergarten through fifth grade this fall. For more information, call 645-1777.

Reformation Lutheran Church, 580 E. St. Louis Ave., offers English as a Second Language conversational classes at 10 a.m. Tuesdays and Fridays. Volunteers interested in teaching can call 541-1952 or 732-2052.

SINGLES GROUPS

The Jewish Community Center of Southern Nevada, Temple Sinai and Congregation Ner Tamid offer a variety of programs for Jewish singles of all ages in Las Vegas and Henderson. For details, call the Jewish Community Center at 794-0090, Temple Sinai at 254-5110 or Congregation Ner Tamid at 733-6292.

New Life Christian Center has a singles meeting at 7 p.m. the second Friday of the month at 1229 E. Carson Ave. (387-5433).

St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church sponsors a singles group for people 45 and older (804-8365, ext. 7333).

Single Adults Learning Together, or SALT Ministries of CornerStone Christian Fellowship, meets at 6 p.m. Saturdays at 5825 W. Eldora Ave. (871-5050).

60+ Singles Catholic Fellowship, open to men and women of the Catholic faith, meets the first Wednesday of the month at 4:30 p.m. and the third Wednesday of the month at 1 p.m. at the Village Pub, 10900 S. Eastern Ave., Henderson (796-1953 or 989-5198).
