Inn Zone Craig lounge, 4725 E. Craig Road, received 38 demerits Dec. 17. Violations included hot dogs, sauerkraut and beans served from household equipment without permit. GRADE: C
Inn Zone Desert Inn bar, 2542 E. Desert Inn Road, received 19 demerits Dec. 18. Violations included fruit flies in several bottles of liquor. GRADE: B
Jimmy John's Gourmet Sandwiches, 5463 S. Rainbow Blvd., received 15 demerits Dec. 18. Violations included employees' uncovered beverages stored on food prep surfaces. GRADE: B
Khoury Mediterranean Restaurant, 6115 S. Fort Apache Road, received 19 demerits Dec. 18. Violations included dishwasher loaded a cutting board used for raw chicken into the dishwasher then put clean plates away without washing hands. GRADE: B
L&L Hawaiian Barbecue, 687 N. Stephanie St., Henderson, received 22 demerits Dec. 20. Violations included food handlers changing tasks without changing gloves or following proper hand-washing techniques. GRADE: C
Paradise Pizza, 2275 E. Sunset Road, received 20 demerits Dec. 18. Violations included no prepared sanitizer solution found in facility. GRADE: B
Rachel's Kitchen, 3645 S. Town Center Drive, received 35 demerits Dec. 17. Violations included bread pudding, hamburger meat, raw chicken, milk and orange juice maintained at improper temperatures. GRADE: C
Tony Roma's restaurant, 555 N. Stephanie St., Henderson, received 31 demerits Dec. 18. Violations included pork ribs found thawing in standing water in prep sink. GRADE: C

McDonald's, 5200 S. Fort Apache Road, received four demerits Dec. 14 and was upgraded to an A.
Pannee's Thai House, 722 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, received seven demerits Dec. 19 and was upgraded to an A.
Pizza Mania Pizzeria, MonteLago Village, 10 Via Bel Canto, Henderson, received one demerit Dec. 18 and was upgraded to an A.
Woody's Chicago Style, 440 Marks Street, Henderson, received one demerit Dec. 13 and was upgraded to an A.
WHAT IT MEANS The Southern Nevada Health District conducts random inspections of local restaurants. An establishment receives an A grade if it has received no more than 10 demerits. A B grade is given to those establishments that receive 11 to 20 demerits, and a C grade is given to any establishment that receives 21 to 40 demerits. If an establishment receives more than 40 demerits, it is closed immediately. The grades are posted at the time of the inspection. The establishment has the option of requesting a reinspection before its next scheduled inspection.
