Show us how you spent your summer

For some kids, summer is never long enough. They're always off on an adventure, whether it is a vacation with the family or exploring the backyard. They are tuned in to the world around them.

These are the kids we hope to recruit for the Review-Journal's summer vacation project.

Send us an essay of 200 words or less explaining why you are a good candidate to receive a disposable camera to document your summer activities.

We'll choose a team of youngsters to shoot photos of their fun times, which will appear in the R-J and online at the end of summer.

Send your essays to Summer Vacation, Features Department, Las Vegas Review-Journal, P.O. Box 70, Las Vegas, NV 89125. Include your name, age and a daytime phone number. We've extended the deadline to Monday for more kids to join the fun.
