A Lift Up Furniture Bank: Volunteers needed for retail center, transportation team, shopping assistance, warehouse and office support.

Child Focus: Chaperones needed to accompany children to quarterly events.

Help of Southern Nevada: Volunteers needed to process holiday assistance applications and scheduling for food and toy pickups; four-hour shifts through Dec. 20. Food collectors and sorters who can lift and unload 75 pounds and drive needed Tuesday through Friday.

St. Jude's Ranch for Children: Tutors, car museum attendants, data entry clerks, mailroom workers, gift shop workers and landscaping volunteers needed.

State Health Insurance Advisory Program: Volunteers needed to assist Medicare beneficiaries with their questions and problems. Training is provided.

Summit View Youth Correctional Center: Mentors and assistants needed for drama, art, vocational training, street readiness, resume writing and interviewing classes on evenings and weekends.

Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center/Sunrise Children's Hospital: Volunteers needed for information desk and book cart service to patient rooms.

Volunteer Center of Southern Nevada and McCall Elementary School: Parents and children needed to paint murals and signs, build planter boxes and make holiday decorations during Family Volunteer Day, 8 a.m.-noon Nov. 17. Lunch is provided.

Zappos.com Las Vegas Marathon: Volunteers needed for a variety of tasks such as helping at start and finish lines, water stations and registration Nov. 30-Dec. 2.
