Here are a few things in news, sports, entertainment and pop culture that we've been talking about lately.

■ Caesars Entertainment showgirls rally on the Strip to "protest" resort fees. Best-looking protesters since the great Barbizon Modeling School sit-in of '68.

■ Beavis and Butt-Head u25B6 will return to MTV in the fall. Frighteningly enough, they're going to sound way smarter than most cable TV pundits.

■ Hot diet of the moment: The Paleo Diet, based upon whatever it is that cavemen ate. Call us skeptical, but we don't recall Fred Flintstone looking exactly svelte.

■ NFL owners and players end their labor dispute. And just when we had our picks all lined up for this season's NFL Collective Bargaining Fantasy League draft.
