Here are a few things in news, sports, entertainment and popular culture that we've been talking about lately.

■ Tiger Woods' creepy new Nike ad features the disembodied voice of his late father. Don't do it. For God's sake, just don't do it.

■ Die-hard Scrabble fans fume over a new U.K. version of the game that permits proper nouns. Coming up: An even newer version that permits the obscenities, profanities and vulgarities die-hard fans are using to talk about this one.
