Here are some things in news, sports, entertainment and popular culture that we've been talking about lately.

* Animal Planet personality Donald Schultz visits Las Vegas, lives for 10 days in a box filled with deadly snakes. Coincidentally, that same box went for $200 a night during the Consumer Electronics Show.

* The cast of MTV's "Jersey Shore" plays hardball in contract negotiations for season two. Wait, they know arithmetic?

* Kelly Kulick, bowling at Red Rock Lanes, becomes the first woman ever to win a PBA tour event. And without the benefit of a single shot of Wild Turkey.

* Heidi Montag has 10 plastic surgery procedures in a single day, then tells "Good Morning America" that "beauty is really within." Well, the irony removal certainly was a success.
