Here are a few things in news, sports, entertainment and pop culture that we've been talking about lately.

n Nevada legislators seek out solutions for a statewide budget crisis. The consensus: Put everything on red and spin.

n Our own Norm Clarke reports that a car bearing the likeness of Kim Kardashian on its hood crashes into a wall during a Las Vegas NASCAR race. Well played, metaphor gods!

n The Vancouver Winter Olympics' closing ceremony features giant Mounties, tabletop hockey players and beavers. In other words: The usual stuff anybody sees after spending a night knocking back Molson-and-C.C. boilermakers.

n The cast of "Glee" will go on a spring concert tour. We prefer to save our money for the upcoming "Lost Live -- On Ice!"
