Water Cooler: Google driving, Drink and Drag, ‘Avengers’

Here are a few things in news, entertainment and pop culture that caught our eye last week.

■ Google will test self-driving cars on Nevada roads. Get used to Googling "personal injury attorney" and "Las Vegas." A lot.

■ The Pentagon declines to participate in filming of "The Avengers" because it couldn't "reconcile the unreality" of the movie with the U.S. military's real-life mission. Certainly didn't stop them from participating in "Top Gun."

■ A seventh-grader discovers an error on a map on display at New York City's Metropolitan Museum of Art. Turns out "Bieberstan" doesn't actually exist.

■ Drink and Drag, a combination bowling alley/drag queen bar, celebrates its grand opening at Neonopolis. For once, figuring out how many spares you'll need in the final few frames will be the least confusing part of the evening.
