‘What Happens’ happens in the pool

Everybody into the pool!

That's just one of the locations "What Happens in Vegas ..." plans to haunt this Halloween week.

The big-screen comedy is scheduled to hit the Palms' pool and Rain nightclub Wednesday. Other locations range from Planet Hollywood Resort and Caesars Palace to Bellagio's fountain-bedecked Strip frontage.

Cameron Diaz, Ashton Kutcher and Queen Latifah lead the cast of the movie, which is expected to film through Saturday.

But if you'd like to get into the act -- and you're 21 to 35 -- Wild Streak Talent needs union and nonunion extras. For more information, e-mail wildstreakt@aol.com to request a database form.

"Most Wanted" found: John Walsh, host of Fox's "America's Most Wanted," plans to cruise the Strip this week -- from atop a double-decker Deuce bus -- for an update on Chester Stiles.

Stiles, accused of videotaping himself assaulting a 3-year-old girl, was the subject of a three-week nationwide manhunt until his Oct. 15 arrest in Henderson.

The magic word: At DreamVision Studios, the upcoming VH1 series "Celebracadabra" materializes, with Las Vegas-based Murray SawChuck as one of the magicians coaching 14 celebrities through feats of prestidigitation.

"It's very similar to 'Dancing with the Stars,' " he notes.

The eight-episode show, which debuts in January, shot in Southern California for six weeks, SawChuck reports. This week's itinerary also includes the neon boneyard and the Steve Wyrick Theatre at Planet Hollywood.

Rockin' rabbit: Also at DreamVision this week, Playboy's annual "Rock the Rabbit" showcases Daft Punk, Gogol Bordello and the Shins following their scheduled performances at last weekend's Vegoose Music Festival.

Quick hits: Filmmaker James Monohan begins a three-day shoot today on a documentary pilot about entertainment manager Christopher Ritter.

And the travel show "Escape," expected here Thursday and Friday, plans to focus on celebrity restaurants and all-ages activities for a Feb. 29 episode airing on Australia's Lifestyle Channel.

Dueling for dollars: Calling all trivia masters, poker players, game show aficionados, intellectuals ... ABC wants you for "Duel," a new game show featuring face-to-face showdowns requiring "nerves of steel and a cunning strategy -- as you compete to win a huge jackpot." (To quote its press release.)

"Duel" auditions will be from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Fashion Show mall; prospective contestants must be at least 18, legal U.S. residents and able to spend up to two weeks on the project. Bring your driver's license and a recent photo. Questions? E-mail duelgameshowcasting@ yahoo. com.
