ADELSON EDUCATIONAL CAMPUS ACCEPTING ENROLLMENT APPLICATIONS

The Dr. Miriam & Sheldon G. Adelson Educational Campus, 9700 W. Hillpointe Road, is accepting new enrollment applications for the 2013-14 school year. The private school serves more than 600 students in kindergarten through 12th grade. A Henderson satellite campus at 1940 Paseo Verde Parkway offers kindergarten through second grade.

LAS VEGAS ACADEMY ALUMNI CELEBRATION SCHEDULED IN MARCH

The Las Vegas Academy Alumni Association's 20th anniversary celebration is scheduled for March 29 and 30. It is set to feature a talent show, a silent auction fundraiser and a picnic.

The association is accepting donations for the silent auction. To make a donation, email Joel Diamond at jsdiamond@interact.ccsd.net.

FAMILY MUSIC CENTER TO HOST PAGEANT FOR GIRLS WITH DISABILITIES

The Twinkle Toez Foundation's second annual Miss Twinkle Toez Pageant is scheduled at 4 p.m. Feb. 10 at the Family Music Center, 8125 W. Sahara Ave. The nonprofit organization provides art scholarships to students with disabilities. The pageant is open to girls 6 or older with physical or mental disabilities. All contestants will receive a crown, a sash and other prizes.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for kids 12 or younger. Infants 3 or younger will be admitted free. Tickets will be available at the door the day of the event.

MAGNET SCHOOL APPLICATIONS BEING ACCEPTED THROUGH MONDAY

Applications to enroll at the Clark County School District's magnet and career and technical academy campuses are due Monday. The district has six elementary schools, six middle schools and 13 high schools with magnet and CTA programs. For more information, visit magnet.ccsd.net.

CLARK COUNTY ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

Clark County's paid internship program, the Summer Business Institute, is accepting applications through Feb. 8 from current high school sophomores, juniors and seniors. The program will place 120 students at more than 80 area businesses in fields of law, medicine, architecture, education and communication.

The program is scheduled to run June 17 through Aug. 9. Students will be paid $8.25 and work eight-hour days Monday through Thursday. Students will also attend Friday seminars. The SBI program started in 1996.

CENTENNIAL HIGH SCHOOL TO HOST FUNDRAISERS FOR CHARITY

Centennial High School, 10200 W. Centennial Parkway, has fundraisers scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday to benefit local charities.

The fifth annual Evening of Hope, Strength and Joy will feature student performances of music, dance and other specialty acts. The cost is $10, and proceeds will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Nevada and the Patrick Slade Foundation.

THE DELTA ACADEMY TO HOST OPEN HOUSE

The Delta Academy, 4075 N. Rancho Drive, plans to host an open house from 3 to 5 p.m. today for prospective students and parents to meet staff members and tour the school. Delta is a public charter school that opened in 2007 and serves grades seven through 12. It also offers online courses.
