Coroner IDs man struck and killed in northeast valley

A pedestrian struck and killed by a truck in the northeast valley Thursday has been identified by the Clark County coroner’s office.

Christopher Lawrence Wyatt, 30, of Las Vegas, was pronounced dead at the scene after being hit by a Chevrolet pickup about 6:40 p.m. near the intersection of Alto Avenue and North Lamb Boulevard, Las Vegas police said.

Wyatt was either standing in or crossing the right lane of Lamb when the southbound truck hit him.

The 38-year-old driver stayed at the scene and was arrested on charges of misdemeanor DUI. It was not a felony charge because initial investigations indicate that Wyatt was at fault.

The pedestrian was wearing black jeans and a brown sweatshirt at the time of the crash and was crossing or standing in a poorly lit section of Lamb outside of a crosswalk, Metro said.
