Coronor IDs man crushed by car
A man who died Nov. 20 in a driveway in the 3700 block of North Walnut Road after the car he was working on slipped off of its jack and fell on his chest was identified Tuesday.
Vanell Ray Meeks, 32, died from asphyxia and compression of the chest , the county coroner's office reported.
Residents of the home lifted the car off of Meeks and called 911, but his injuries were too severe. He was pronounced dead at University Medical Center.
