The Lied Discovery Children's Museum, 833 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is offering weekly camp programs for children 6 to 12. Sessions are available from 9 a.m. to noon or 1 to 4 p.m. through Aug. 15. Pavilion Center Pool to host
All City Swim Meet

Pavilion Center Pool, 101 S. Pavilion Center Drive, is scheduled to host the All City Swim Meet at 9 a.m. Saturday . Youth participating in city of Las Vegas, North Las Vegas and Clark County summer aquatics programs will compete.

Star party set for SATURDAY

An Astronomy in the Park Star Party is planned for 7 p.m. Saturday at the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area Visitor Center. The evening is set to begin with a presentation on meteor showers and storms. Immediately following the presentation, telescope viewing will take place, with a laser-guided tour of the night sky scheduled for 9 p.m. The free event is sponsored by the Las Vegas Astronomical Society Parking, and access to video-assisted viewing of the night sky is available for those in wheelchairs.
