Lightning strikes Southwest Airlines plane at McCarran

A Southwest Airlines plane was struck by lightning Tuesday night while crew members were on board, but no one was injured, a McCarran International Airport official said.
Airport spokesman Michael Alonzo said the plane was hit shortly before 8 p.m. while parked at a gate at Concourse C. Eight crew members were on board. Firefighters checked the plane for signs of fire and found none.
