Man found dead after I-15 crash identified
The man who was found dead on Tuesday after a single-car crash on Interstate 15 was identified by the Clark County coroner’s office on Wednesday.
Nevada Highway Patrol responded to northbound I-15, near Tropicana Avenue, at about 3:40 p.m.
There, they found David Makkonen, 44, from North Las Vegas. The white Toyota Corolla he was driving had hit a wall, NHP said.
Makkonen was pronounced dead on the scene, NHP said.
The Corolla barely scraped the wall, leading troopers to believe that the man suffered a medical episode, NHP said.
Makkonen’s cause of death has not been released by the coroner’s office.
