Man killed in Friday motorcycle accident identified

A man killed in a motorcycle accident Friday morning has been identified by the Clark County coroner’s office.

Joseph Matthew Mladenik Jr., 64, of North Las Vegas died from blunt force injuries. The accident happened on Interstate 15 southbound to the U.S. Highway 95 northbound ramp at about 10:20 a.m. The area was shut down and traffic was heavy for several hours as authorities investigated the accident.

Mladenik was pronounced dead shortly after being transported to University Medical Center.
