Man wounded in shooting near northwest Las Vegas bus stop
A man was critically injured after being shot near a bus stop in the northwest valley early Friday morning, according to Las Vegas police.
Police were called to Washington Avenue and Rainbow Boulevard about 2 a.m. and found the man, believed to be in his late 30s, shot five times, Metro Lt. Steve Candelas said. He was not waiting for the bus, he said.
The man was taken to University Medical Center in critical condition.
The shooter, who police said is in his early 20s, has not been arrested.
The incident was not robbery-related and it’s unclear if the two men knew each other, Candelas said.
