Opportunity Village was named the official winner of the World Santa Challenge on Thursday, after more than 9,700 Santas participated in the annual 5k run.
Saturday's event was the largest yet for Opportunity Village, which garnered 2,000 more runners than last year's race to bring home the title for the second year in a row.
The Venetian's 750 runners was the largest competing group, and Circle K Convenience Stores was recognized for raising the most money.
Opportunity Village crushed its competitors with about 1,200 more participants than the second place winners - Liverpool, England. Osaka, Japan, had a total of 3,021 runners, and the official tally for Tasmania is still undetermined.
