Parking violators can swap ‘Toys for Tickets’ in Las Vegas

The Las Vegas City Council on Wednesday approved a pilot program that will allow people who receive certain parking tickets during November to donate a toy of equal or greater value as payment.

Pedestrian hit by vehicle on Thursday dies from injuries

On Thursday, a 1996 Mercedes-Benz traveling west on East Sahara Avenue struck a man who was walking in the left travel lane, crossing the street outside of a marked crosswalk. He was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center with critical injuries.
