Pedestrian in critical condition after being struck by car
A pedestrian was critically injured after being struck by a car at Warm Springs Road and Las Vegas Boulevard South on Tuesday night, according to Las Vegas police.
Witnesses and evidence indicated Hugh Turbeville, 53, was crossing Warm Springs Road against a “Do Not Cross” signal around 9 p.m.
Phyllis Ippolito, 70, who was driving eastbound on Warm Springs Road during a green light, struck Turbeville as she entered the intersection.
Turbeville was transported to University Medical Center Trauma in critical condition. The accident remains under investigation by Las Vegas police.
