Police seek man in 7-Eleven lot shooting

Las Vegas police are looking for a man involved in a Thursday night shooting that left a woman dead in a 7-Eleven parking lot.

Officers were called to the lot, in the 2600 block of West Sahara Avenue, near Interstate 15, shortly before 6 p.m.

Police said they found a woman with a gunshot wound to the chest. She later died at University Medical Center, police said.

A man entered the unidentified woman’s vehicle when she stopped at the convenience store parking lot, police said Friday. A second man drove up to the woman’s vehicle and shot her once through the front window.

Both men fled the scene. Police said the shooter, described as a light-skinned black man or white, was seen driving away in a four-door black sedan with tinted windows, which police said they believe to be a Nissan.

The woman will be identified by the Clark County coroner’s office when her next of kin is notified.

Anyone with information on the shooting is urged to contact Las Vegas police at 702-828-3521 or Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555 and www.crimestoppersofnv.com.
