About 1,500 NV Energy customers in the southwest valley were without power for an hour Thursday morning, according to the utility company's website.

The outages mostly affected the 89178 and 89179 ZIP codes. They were originally reported to the company shortly before 8 a.m., NV Energy's outage website shows. Power had returned just before 9 a.m.

It wasn't immediately clear what caused the outages.
