Public input on transportation priorities sought

Now's your chance to decide what kind of freeways, surface roads, bus travel and flying cars you would like to see in Southern Nevada's future.

The Regional Transportation Commission wants regular folks to submit opinions on the region's future transportation priorities. The agency, a coalition of the local government bodies that manages traffic and transportation planning in Southern Nevada, is accepting responses through 4 p.m. Sept. 13. Officials will use those responses in helping decide what the transportation priorities will be.

The federal government requires that the agency seek public input as it prepares its lplans. This particular plan is designed to lay out priorities through 2035.

All the agency wants is answers to some basic questions, such as how high a priority mass transit should be or how important air quality is.
