State sounds call for foster parents in Pahrump

Nevada is looking for interested foster and adoptive parents in Pahrump.
The state’s Division of Child and Family Services will hold foster and adoptive parent training from noon to 8 p.m. on Friday and from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The training sessions will be held at the Division of Child and Family Services’ Pahrump District Office, 1780 E. Basin Ave., Suite 2.
The training consists of nine, three-hour sessions designed to educate and prepare applicants to provide foster and or adoptive care to children in the child welfare system. Background checks are conducted on all applicants and residents 18 years or older living in the home.
