Summerlin HOV flyover closed to southbound traffic Wednesday
The southbound Summerlin HOV flyover bridge, between Durango and Rainbow boulevards, will be closed from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, the Nevada Department of Transportation announced today.
The closure is necessary for NDOT to inspect the bridge and to enter it into a federal inventory of bridge structures, in accordance with the National Bridge Inspection Standards.
Opened in July, the flyover was designed to provide convenient and safe access to U.S. Highway 95 carpool lanes without having to weave across traffic.
Motorists looking to access Rainbow from southbound Summerlin Parkway must use the conventional exit.
