Woman killed in auto-pedestrian accident identified

The Clark County coroner’s office has identified the woman who died Monday night in the southwest valley after being struck by a car.

Courtney Lapointe Walker, 49, was crossing South Durango Drive, north of Paddle Wheel Way outside of a marked crosswalk when she was hit by an SUV, according to Las Vegas police. She died on scene.

Police responded to the area, between Desert Inn Road and Sahara Avenue, just after 10:20 p.m.

The 22-year-old driver was not injured.
