Woman struck, killed on Boulder Highway identified

A woman who was struck and killed by a vehicle while crossing Boulder Highway on Thursday afternoon has been identified by the Clark County coroner’s office.

Jessica Lynn Papin, 27, was crossing Boulder Highway at Lowrey Street, just north of Lake Mead Parkway, at about 1:30 p.m. when 84-year-old Paul Bennett drove a Jeep Cherokee into the crosswalk and hit her, Henderson spokeswoman Kathleen Richards said.

Cars in the other lanes had already yielded to Papin before the accident, Richards said.

Police do not believe speed contributed to the accident.
