Sergio Aguayo scored three goals — part of a stretch of four Las Vegas tallies in eight minutes — as the Wildcats defeated Coronado 5-1 to win the Class 4A state boys soccer championship at Bettye Wilson Soccer Complex.
The Warriors regrouped after a stagnant first half to score three goals in a 25-minute span en route to their first boys soccer state championship at the Bettye Wilson Soccer Complex.

Kirsten Kircher saved the first two penalty kicks of the shootout, and the Gaels prevailed 4-2 in the shootout in the Class 4A Desert Region championship game on Saturday at Bettye Wilson Soccer Complex. The game was tied 2-2 after regulation and two overtime periods.
Sergio Aguayo and Drew Bowden scored goals for Las Vegas, and Rodolfo Gomez made five saves as the Wildcats topped Eldorado 2-0 to win their first region title since 2009.
Madison Sonerholm scored in the 78th minute as Faith Lutheran’s soccer team beat Palo Verde 2-1 in the Mountain Region title game.
