DIVISION III GIRLS: Turnovers don’t stop Bobcats

A solid defensive effort, especially in the second half, allowed the Bobcats to pull away for a 45-27 win over West Wendover in a Division III state semifinal at Lawlor Events Center. White Pine (25-6) will meet Incline (20-5) for the state title at 11 a.m. Saturday.

Brynlee Wadsworth scored 15 points, and Kristal Jackson added 11 points and 10 rebounds to help host Lincoln County’s girls basketball team clinch the Division III Southern League title with a 56-44 win over Agassi Prep on Friday in Panaca.

Carl Crayon scored 23 points, including a go-ahead layup with six seconds left to lift Eldorado’s boys basketball team to a 61-58 road win over Rancho on Tuesday.
