Cheyenne was 9-for-11 from the field in the third quarter to take control en route to a 53-47 win over Elko in the Class 3A state semifinals at Cox Pavilion.
Desert Pines running back Isaiah Morris, who helped the Jaguars to the Class 3A state title as a senior, made an oral commitment to UNR on Friday. According to Desert Pines football coach Tico Rodriguez, Morris will be a preferred walk-on for the Wolf Pack.
