Salazar hopes to become latest girls state discus champion at Silverado

Silverado senior Monet Salazar is the top seed in the discus for the Division I girls state track and field meet. She won the Sunrise Region meet with a throw of 131-0. She also won the shot put at the region meet with a mark of 35-9¼ and is the No. 5 qualifier for state.
