Palo Verde’s boys volleyball team hadn’t experienced much success against Shadow Ridge in recent years, so the Panthers had revenge in mind when they faced the Mustangs on Thursday in the Sunset Region semifinals at Legacy.

Rancho volleyball team hopes togetherness translates to success

Rancho”s Ryan Hafen and Lamont Traylor each played an integral part in helping the boys basketball team make its first playoff apperance in nine years in February. Now the two are looking to use that experience to help the Rams” volleyball team advance past the opening round of playoffs for the first time in five years on Tuesday.

VOLLEYBALL: Traylor, Rams beat Falcons

Lamont Traylor had 16 kills and three blocks, and Montef Hargrove added 11 kills and five blocks to help Rancho’s boys volleyball team defeat visiting Foothill, 25-17, 23-25, 25-22, 27-25 on Thursday.
