19-year-old charged in deadly crash

Armando Iribe Jr., 19, was arrested this week in connection with an Oct. 11 car crash in which a passenger died.

North Las Vegas police said Iribe was booked Tuesday on a felony count of driving under the influence of alcohol with a death and a felony count of reckless driving with a death.

Iribe's Honda Accord was going west about 1:15 a.m. on Lake Mead Boulevard near Civic Center Drive when he drove into the path of a white 1998 Dodge Ram pickup heading east.

Jorge Luis Guerrero, 21, of Pacoima, Calif., was thrown from Iribe's vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said Iribe was driving 77 mph in a 35 mph zone.
