2012 Review-Journal Voter Guide
In an effort to inform voters, the Las Vegas Review-Journal publishes election special sections like this one, which has information about the races to be decided in Clark County, the state of Nevada and the nation, and the candidates in those races.
Voters can get the most out of this general election guide by first referring to the sample ballot mailed to them by the Clark County Election Department. Voters should find which races they will be voting in and then read the stories that pertain to those races.
In each of the stories, incumbents are designated in their bios with an asterisk (*) after their names. Appointed incumbents have two.
Candidates were given the opportunity to have their pictures taken at the Review-Journal. Those whose photos do not appear either did not respond or declined to be photographed.
District maps are provided to help readers identify which offices serve them. For exact boundaries, access the election map website at www.accessclarkcounty.com/elections/ and click on Political Subdivision Maps.
In addition to the reporters whose bylines accompany their stories, contributors to this general election special section include: Deputy Editor Jim Wright; Deputy Editor Mary Greeley; assistant editors Don Ham, Lisa Kim Bach, Michael Symes and Karl Kistner; copy editors Steve Addy, Steve Beaudry, Bob Berggren, Jim Barnes, Mike Bray, Karen Chatmon, Lyn Collier, Matthew Crowley, Mark Davis, Paul Doyle, Patrick Everson, Anita Gosch, Steve Moore, Kent Nichols, George Riggle, Hali Bernstein Saylor, Jenny Scheid and Dave Schoen; Director of Photography Mark Damon; photographer Jerry Henkel; graphic artists Pam Killinsworth and Anton, who designed the cover.
