35-year-old Las Vegas man held in series of sexual assaults

Las Vegas police have arrested a 35-year-old Las Vegas man in connection with a series of sexual assaults and abductions that have taken place between March and May.

Brian Ziegler was charged with five counts each of sexual assault with a deadly weapon victim under 16, and sexual assault with a deadly weapon; three counts of first-degree kidnapping with a deadly weapon; and one count of attempted sexual assault with a deadly weapon.

He was booked into the Clark County Detention Center.

Police said Ziegler lived near Rancho Drive and Lake Mead Boulevard. They withheld any information about the alleged crimes citing the ongoing investigation.

Investigators are asking anyone with information about Ziegler or the crimes to contact sexual assault detective Paul Slaninka at 828-3421 or Crime Stoppers at 385-5555.
