On Saturday morning, two neighbor girls pounded on Ginger Paige's front door, according to a Las Vegas police report.
The girls, who lived next door, were screaming that their father had just stabbed their mother.
Paige took the girls in and called police.
Shortly after that, the girls' father, 49-year-old Farid Ashraf met officers on the lawn of his Otis Court home, near Tenaya Way and Alexander Road. Ashraf, who is deaf, pointed to the house, made a stabbing motion and then pointed to himself, the report states.
Officers found Hameeda Ashraf suffering from multiple stab wounds inside the home. She was taken to University Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.
Farid Ashraf was arrested and booked into the Clark County Detention Center on one count of murder with a deadly weapon. He's being held without bail.
Through an interpreter, Ashraf told police the domestic dispute was sparked by accusations of infidelity, the report states. Ashraf said he had seen his wife kissing and hugging another man. He also said she was going to steal a Mercedes registered in his name that he had purchased for her.
Ashraf said that during the argument his wife of 13 years refused to give up the car keys. He then got a kitchen knife and stabbed her three times, the report states.
"If she's dead, hell with her," Ashraf told police, according to the report.
The couple's four children were home when the slaying happened.
The report also states the couple had argued often and that police had responded to their home several times.
