7-year-old pedestrian killed near Nevada-Arizona border

A seven-year-old girl was killed by a vehicle in a hit-and-run incident in northern Arizona on Wednesday.

Department of Public Safety spokesman Bart Graves said a silver sports car hit the pedestrian on U.S. Highway 93 near the Nevada border this morning.

Graves said the girl was flown to a Las Vegas hospital where she was pronounced dead. Her name and hometown are unknown.

Graves said police recovered the abandoned vehicle in, or near, Las Vegas. No arrest has yet been made.
