78-year-old pedestrian struck, killed on Boulder Highway identified

The woman struck and killed by a truck on Boulder Highway Monday was identified by the Clark County coroner’s office Friday as Mary Sapp, 78.

She was hit about 4:30 a.m. while crossing Boulder Highway, south of Galleria Drive. Sapp was outside of a crosswalk and was more than 600 feet from an intersection, according to Henderson police.

Police said the driver of the 1999 Toyota Tacoma that hit the woman voluntarily submitted to a blood-alcohol test. They do not believe intoxication or speed caused the accident.
