Ann Romney to speak at rally Thursday in Reno

Ann Romney will hold a rally Thursday in Reno to promote her husband, GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney, three days before President Barack Obama campaigns in Las Vegas on Sunday.

The rally will be at the Robert Z. Hawkins Amphitheater at the Bartley Ranch Regional Park, the Romney campaign announced Tuesday. The amphitheater has about 400 chairs plus lawn seating for 400 more.

Doors will open at 10 a.m. for the event, with Ann Romney expected to speak about noon.

On Monday, Ann Romney is scheduled to be in Las Vegas for a private fundraiser at the home of Sheldon and Miriam Adelson, GOP contributors who have donated at least $70 million to Republican campaigns and causes this election cycle. That includes at least
$10 million to a political action committee supporting Romney, who has met several times with the chairman of the Las Vegas Sands Corp.
