GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK, Ariz. -- Authorities have recovered the bodies of two people who died in separate incidents in Northern Arizona.

Grand Canyon National Park rangers said Kathryn Roth, 22, of Springfield, Utah, was recovered Thursday afternoon from the North Rim

A man called Wednesday night to report Roth had gone Tuesday to the Tuweap Valley with the man's son. They planned to hike down the Lava Falls Route to reach the Colorado River.

Roth was found on the Lava Falls Route.

The second fatality was Porter Dixon, who fell while hiking at the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area.

A ground and air search found Dixon, 23, at the base of a cliff.
