‘Bombshell’ McGhee to flaunt tats and much more
April 22, 2010 - 11:00 pm
Michelle "Bombshell" McGhee -- ex-lover of the marriage outlaw Jesse James -- strips tonight at Deja Vu Showgirls.
She has stripped at "probably every single club in San Diego," but this will be her first gig in Vegas.
I asked her if she ever came here with Mr. Sandra Bullock or with any other star.
"No, I've never been there with Jesse," she says. "I don't care to talk about that or any other people I've been to Vegas with."
She understands why people got upset over a photo shoot she did in Nazi clothes. But she pleads:
"This was seriously an hour photo shoot that just got blown into mega proportions.
"It was the photographer's costume. If he'd given me a banana suit, I'd have pranced around in a banana suit.
"It's just so crazy how the media twisted it and villainized me," she says. "But hey, they're selling a magazine."
She says we should take her forehead tattoo at face value. It reads, "Pray for us sinners."
"It's actually something I can look in the mirror everyday and just kind of remember where I was in my path through my life.
"I didn't tattoo my forehead to say, 'Look at me, look at me,' " she says. "I don't flaunt my tattoos. I actually wear bangs over my head ... so the only time I get to see it is when I want to see it."
In my blog, she tells me about: the time she broke a rib while stripping; the time she accidentally hit a guy in the face with a clear heal; the people who got her hooked on tats; and the "girl-on-girl" photos on her website.
She goes topless at midnight at Deja Vu Showgirls, and signs autographs 9-11 p.m. at Deja Vu Love Boutique.
MORE LOVE FOR YOU
Courtney Love appears Saturday at The Venetian's club Tao to promote Hole's new album, "Nobody's Daughter."
We talked last weekend, and I asked Love, a David Bowie fan, what she thinks of Lady Gaga going around proclaiming she was influenced by Bowie.
"I don't even think she understands what she's saying when she says that," says Love (whose Hole plays the Palms in July).
"I think she wakes up in the morning and says to a plethora of gay guys, 'Do whatever you want to me, and make sure it costs a lot of money.' "
She met Gaga last year. And?
"She plays piano really well. She's a nice girl. But I don't know, God bless her, I'm not gonna do it: I'm not gonna wear crazy head pieces and do the Copacabana thing."
From the club to the ballet
Bridget Marquardt and boyfriend/director Nick Carpenter plan to dress up as a dead bride and groom at her "Halfway to Halloween" costume party at club Eve on Saturday. ... And the best little-known, can't-miss thing this weekend: A super-fun Cirque du ballet show at Treasure Island (1 p.m. Sunday for a mere $20-$40).
