Bullhead City pedestrian killed by pickup was 52-year-old

Police have identified the pedestrian who was struck and killed Saturday while crossing Highway 95 in Bullhead City, Ariz.

Charles E. Hinesley, 52, was in a crosswalk near Third Street when he was hit about 5:30 p.m. by a pickup, police spokeswoman Emily Montague said.

Hinesley died Saturday night after being flown to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center.

Jerry Dodd, the 71-year-old driver of the Ford F-250, was not hurt, Montague said.

Police assert that Dodd was at fault for failure to yield the right of way, she said, but any citation or charge will be determined through a Mohave County attorney's office review of police reports.
