Clark County coroner identifies man killed in Saturday shooting

The Clark County coroner’s office identified the Las Vegas man who was shot to death in an apartment south of downtown Saturday.

Las Vegas police discovered Gabriel Dieguez in an apartment in the 200 block of New York Avenue, behind the Stratosphere. The 31-year-old later died at University Medical Center.

The coroner’s office said he died from a gunshot wound to the torso.

Witnesses told police Dieguez was in some kind of altercation before the shooting. Police are looking for three men in connection with the homicide.
