Cockpit smoke forces airliner to make emergency landing in Las Vegas

An Allegiant Air jetliner destined for Grand Junction, Colo., from Los Angeles made an emergency landing at McCarran International Airport this afternoon after pilots reported smoke in the cockpit.

Flight #394, carrying 126 passengers, was diverted around 2 p.m. today after the incident was reported, airport spokesman Chris Jones said.

No injuries were reported as of 2:30 p.m.
